Inspired by the operating concepts of smart phones, touchscreens have become indispensable in modern terminals, control systems and sophisticated operator panels. By means of a touch sensitive sensor, which is mounted in front of the screen, the user can directly change the contents displayed by touching the screen with a pen or fingertip.
The appropriate touch technology is selected based on the requirements of the application. Projected capacitive touch (referred to as PCT or PCAP) screens are robust and also suitable for outdoor use. A variety of resistive touch displays in different diagonal screen sizes is offered for cost-sensitive applications.
MSC Technologies offers high-quality touchscreens with innovative touch technologies as well as special touch coatings and optical bonding, which can be adapted to meet individual customer requirements. In addition to products from experienced suppliers, products from GE Star Touch, MSC’s own brand, are also available, for example, a self-developed nanosilver-based PCAP touchscreen. The touch closes the gap in the size limitations of traditional indium tin oxide (ITO) PCTs and still offers compact dimensions.
The capacitive touchscreens with double-sided indium tin oxide (DITO) coating from GE Star Touch are used for small and medium diagonal screen sizes and feature an excellent performance with a low susceptibility to interference.
